I laughed so hard when she kicked her foot up on the sink.
At Lainey's 8 week check up she weighed 12lb 13oz. She is now in the 90th% for her height, weight and head circ.
The Bumbo Chair works great.
Lainey can hold her head up for a little bit but when she gets tired she looks like this.

Lainey's 1st Easter
March 23, 2008:
Today was Lainey's actual due date. Lucky for me she came early. Today we spent the day in Melrose/Hawthorne. We went to see pawpaw/mawmaw for a while. Then we went to Nana and Jeffro's house for Easter dinner. Everyone loved your easter outfit. Nana was silly like Lainey because she had easter bunny ears too.

March 15th, 2008 Lainey Comes Home
After two long days in the hospital, Lainey gets to come home. During our hospital stay we had many ups and a few downs. Once Lainey arrived we had some blood sugar issues and had to monitor Lainey’s sugar levels for 24 hours. She had two low sugars which almost cost her to get an IV in newborn nursery. Lucky for her she pulled through without needing that IV. Our next big challenge is breast feeding. Some feeds are good and others are not so good. Hopefully this will become an easier task. As for dad, he is so excited that his little girl is here and healthy. Once Lainey was discharged from the hospital dad drove us home and boy was he nervous. He drove like five miles an hour and could not stop looking at her in the rear view mirror. We won’t tell him, but he really made me nervous. But we got home safe and sound. It is nice to finally be home. Maybe I will get some sleep or maybe I won’t.
I am so cute

Today Chris and I found out that Lainey is estimated at 8lb 4oz. OH MY! I am really hoping that she is not that big but we will soon see. I am going to the Shands at UF at 6am on 3/13/08 for an induction. Chris and I are really excited but it is really hitting home that we are going to have a baby in two days. I really can't imagine what it is going to be like around the house but I think I am ready. Well, I guess we really don't have a say in the matter anymore.

It's a Girl
Today was a very exciting day for Chris and I. Today we found out that we are having a little girl. Oh my goodness, I can’t believe it. I had a feeling we were going to have a girl, but Chris was hoping for a boy (fishing partner). It was really funny when we started the ultrasound the first thing that we saw on the screen was her little booty. It was meant for the world to know that she was a girl. Her 20 week ultrasound was very in depth in order to make sure that she doesn’t have any birth defects. Everything checked out perfect. What a big relief. She is weighing in at 364 grams at 20 weeks. I have gained a total of eighteen pounds now and boy do I feel big. Yes, I know I will get bigger.

11 weeks pregnant
I am eleven weeks pregnant now and seven pounds heavier. My mom and I went to an appointment with Dr. Duff to have a second ultrasound. This ultrasound was to check and make sure that the baby is developing into a little person with a strong heartbeat. This was the first time my mom has ever seen a baby by ultrasound. I am really glad she could experience it with me. The ultrasound was amazing. The first thing we saw was the baby waving at us. How cute. We saw arms, legs, a little bottom and a head. What a miracle this little one is. It was like it was doing summersaults or water acrobatics. Unfortunately Chris could not make this appointment, but when he saw the sonogram pictures he was amazed at how much the baby has changed.

Today we had our first ultrasound. We are 6 weeks pregnant and so excited. Today we met Dr. Duff for the first time; he works at Shands @ UF. What a nice man. Chris and I love him. The official due date is March 22, 2008. The most nerve racking and most exciting moment of the day was seeing our baby for the first time as well as the heartbeat. The baby was as big as a grain of sand and the heartbeat is really all you could see, like the flicker of a firefly. We got the thumbs up by Dr. Duff to tell our family that we are pregnant. SO FAMILY, WE ARE PREGNANT.

OH MY GOD, WE ARE PREGNANT
July 15th, 2007
On July 15th, 2007 Chris and I went to pick up Chinese food for dinner and when I opened my fortune cookie it said, “The desire to totally change your life will manifest.” For some odd reason I felt the need to take a pregnancy test. Did I think I was pregnant? No. So while Chris was watching television I took a pregnancy test. To my surprise the first response pregnancy test had two lines that lit up like a Christmas tree. I was in shock and Chris had no idea what was about to unfold. I ran into the living room and handed him the pregnancy test. He kept on saying, “We aren’t pregnant, were pregnant, no we aren’t pregnant, OH MY GOD we are pregnant.” We were in total shock. WE ARE PREGNANT.
